We assisted the NEC Corporation to design their global corporate brochure NEC Vision 2020. The work included print layout and cover design as well as illustrator management.

NEC is a massive global enterprise with more than 110.000 employees and 327 group companies. It provides IT (information technology) and network solutions to business enterprises, communications services providers and to government agencies, and has also been the biggest PC vendor in Japan since the 1980s.

Another core area of their business is biometric authentication based on 6 sources such as face, iris, voice, finger/vein, fingerprint and ear acoustic. This technology is often provided to government services and customs agencies or airport check-ins to name a few. The NEC Vision 2020 brochure largely focuses on biometric authentication services with illustrated explainer stories. Since biometric authentication can be a touchy subject we had to walk a fine line to create a positive visual impact around these services, backed by case studies.

A similar content structure and also our custom illustrations have been used to introduce the NEC Vision 2020 online.
