Bilingual UI/UX Designer
(Freelance)
We are seeking a native Japanese UI/UX designer who is also fluent in English, with an expert level of Figma skills. This freelance/contract role involves working on bilingual or Japanese-language digital platforms with a focus on clear UX, strong layout, and precision in execution. Preferably a designer with a keen minimal German/Swiss design sense and a touch of humor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design bilingual UI/UX for websites, applications, and digital tools
- Create high-fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, and component-based systems in Figma
- Apply advanced knowledge of Japanese typography and layout principles
- Translate wireframes and briefs into polished, user-centered design using responsive layout techniques
- Collaborate remotely with creative directors, developers, and international clients
- Develop information architecture and wireframes
- Create storytelling concepts that enhance user experience and brand engagement
You Should Have
- Native-level Japanese with strong written/spoken English
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including design systems and prototyping
- A deep understanding of Japanese typographic conventions
- A sharp eye for detail and consistency in design
- A strong portfolio of responsive UI/UX work
Nice to Have
- More in-depth experience with UX design, including user testing and workshops
- Experience with multilingual/bilingual design workflows
- Knowledge of micro-interactions or motion prototyping tools (e.g., Lottie)
- Skilled in vector drawing for infographics, charts, icons, and illustrations
- Understanding of accessibility
Location & Availability
- Freelance / contract-based
- Remote work possible, Tokyo or Japan-based candidates preferred
- Flexible schedule, but ability to join meetings in JST business hours when needed

Elementor Developer

Searching for an experienced Elementor web developer. Local developer in Tokyo/Japan preferred, but overseas in close time-zone feasible for the right candidate. Looking for long-term collaboration.
- Candidate must be specialized Elementor Theme Builder based website development.
- Ability to perfectly set up global styles as per guidlines.
- Ability to extend Elementor with custom HTML/CSS/JS development or develop add-on plugins.
- Familarity with multilingual website setup, also through WPML plugin.
- Skillfully create engaging animated and interactive web experiences e.g. scroll animations, smooth page transitions, interactive & animated elements.
- Involvement in planning and direction for animations and interactions welcome.
- Highly experienced in web technologies such as: SVG/Json/Lottie, JS/Jquery, CSS3/SCSS and HTML5.
- Experienced in responsive web design and mobile optimization.
- Seasoned in responsive typography, ideally also Japanese/Asian languages.
- Experienced in WordPress CMS development and theme implementation.
- Keen eye for design details.
