Social Media Leadership Forum

Social Media Leadership Forum - Logo Design
Bento Graphics was commissioned to redesign the Social Media Leadership Forum website by IT`S OPEN, a social media strategy consultancy based in the UK.

The extensive corporate identity development was followed by a website redesign and full CMS implementation with membership functionality. The CMS website offers the customisation of nearly every aspect of the site from the admin area, such as posting of additional downloads in the password secured membership category, automated upcoming and past events posting option (an expired upcoming event automatically moves to the past events section), members logo posting and resorting, iPad/iPhone compatible video posting, fully editable membership profile pages (also password resetting) and others. The home page also features a editable Javascript slideshow and updatable sidebar widgets for introduction test and icon links for social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. The design of the Facebook and Twitter pages were also adapted to any extent possible.

About SMLF

The Social Media Leadership Forum has been established to help organisations collaborate together; share ideas and agree best practice strategies for successfully engaging with social media.

A Place to Learn

The Social Media Leadership Forum is bringing together leading organisations that have an interest in engaging with their stakeholders through social media – from pioneering early adopters of social media to those just beginning to develop their social media strategies.

Our objective is to provide a stimulating open environment for members to share their knowledge and experience, learn from other leading industry players, and network to help each other successfully customise social media strategies and policies for the long term success of the organisations they serve.

The Social Media Leadership Forum is managed by ItsOpen.

Fundamental Change

Social Media is fundamentally changing the way that organisations communicate.
Social media presents different ways to engage with stakeholders, and requires a different culture of communication to be effective.
Social Media is having a direct impact on the way businesses operate. But we are still in the early days of understanding the challenges and best strategies to successfully manage the risks and harness the opportunities it presents.

Members

Some of the world’s leading companies have already joined the Social Media Leadership Forum (including those shown at the top of this page).

Business leaders in all industries are finding that engaging with communities through social media requires new ways of working and communicating, and that the transition to this brave new world isn’t easy. The Social Media Leadership Forum provides a unique, open environment for people to exchange ideas about social media strategies, and to learn from each other about the realities of translating strategy into business practice – the opportunities, the challenges, the hazards to avoid.

Some members of the Forum have well-developed social media strategies that are already delivering measurable results, while other members are at an early stage of engaging with social media. What they all have in common is a recognition of the increasingly important role of social media for enterprise and a willingness to share their experiences with their peers.
